Alone and the Wilderness will be on view at Claire Oliver Gallery in New York City from April 30- June 6, 2015. The new work uses the genres of still life and landscape to examine ideas of wilderness, the age of the Anthropocene, and Deep Time. Featured works include Laid (Time-)Table with Cycads, a fifteen foot long sculpture composed of a paleo-landscape and still life, a series of photographs juxtaposing hand made glass objects and the Alaskan wilderness, and Windfall, a time-lapse video of a gazing ball made in collaboration with Keith Heyward and Julia Liu.
